Punggol, 2-bed condominium.
A young family of three's first home — built for a toddler today, a child in five years, and quiet adult evenings in between.
Soft surfaces, hard storage.
The owners moved out of a rented condo, into their first owned home, with an eighteen-month-old in tow. They wanted a kitchen the toddler could cook in safely by age four, a living room that didn't shame anyone for putting their feet up, and enough hidden storage that toys could disappear by 8pm.
The Bespoke brief gave us scope to commission furniture: a low oak coffee table with a child-friendly rounded edge, a custom dining bench with under-seat storage, and a bedroom wardrobe that runs floor-to-ceiling with brass-pull joinery. Loose furniture sourced and styled — most of it second-hand, restored.
Material palette: warm white with deep brown accents, oak and walnut joinery, wool rugs, brushed brass hardware, lime plaster on the headboard wall. The palette is meant to age — to develop patina rather than wear out.
Five stages, twelve weeks on site.
